Sovereign God

To define the Sovereignty of God…simply put, all things are under God’s rule and control, and nothing happens without His direction or permission.  God works all things according to His will.  (Ephesians 1:11)  Nothing takes God by surprise.  God governs all things without exception.

Where is God?—We cry out, when in sorrow and filled with grief. Daniel clearly could have given up after being deported to a foreign land after Judah was conquered.  Instead of giving in or giving up, Daniel held fast to his faith in God, as should we.  Daniel knew that despite the circumstances, God was and is Sovereign.  God is working out His plan.

As we face our trials, we too can expect God to remain present with us through our trials.  I pray that God grant us courage to remain faithful under pressure, just as Daniel did.  Despite news reports, court reports, or personal stress, God is still in control.

I thank God for our faith and changed lives.  I ask God to fill us today with joy, strength, and thankfulness!  I pray that our faith remains in God, who controls everything.

Preparing for battle…Isaiah 54:17

No weapon formed against you will succeed, and you will refute any accusation raised against you in court. This is the heritage of the LORD’s servants, and their righteousness is from Me.” This is the LORD’s declaration.” Whether weapons are used against us, or whether lies are told to hurt us…the result is the same!!!  We will triumph over our enemies and put them to shame!  Our security and final victory are certain because of our trust and obedience to God. Thank You, Lord, that You are merciful, just, loving and steady in a changing world. You are my safe harbor in life’s storms.

Sharing Christ

You don’t need to know all the answers when it comes to telling others about Christ. All you need to do is tell them how He has changed your life. Then trust that God will use your words to help others believe in Him too!

I like the reply of the man born blind in John 9:25. When Jesus healed him on the sabbath and angered the Jews for working on the sabbath, they questioned the blind man as to who broke the law. The blind man’s reply is, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I do not know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” Tell someone what Christ has done for you! And look back on your journey in faith and thank God for bringing you to this point today.

From Fear to Faith

God is taking us from fear to faith in every aspect of our lives. “Loving God, it is another day of many voices. We seek to close our ears, our mind, to anyone or anything but You.”

Christ has promised to be with us always. Even when we lose sight of Him in the pressures of life. There is no need to fear. Look for Jesus during your storms and you will find Him. He will say, “It is I; don’t be afraid”. We must believe in Jesus, whom God has sent. Declare to Jesus today, “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God”.

I know You are with me Lord, even when I can’t see You, I know You’re there, even though I hear so many voices. I trust in Your Word Lord and You said, “It is I, don’t be afraid.”

Stop bad habits…

Living by faith helps us develop a deep appreciation for Christ.  Reflect on your day yesterday, think about it…now, how did you spend time with Jesus?  Did you follow Christ’s lead or did you lead and ask Christ to follow you in whatever you did or said?  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
Proverbs 3:6

We must trust The Lord completely in every choice we make.  I am not saying that you should abandon or not trust your thoughts are ideas.  However, take your thoughts to God and ask him to examine them to see if they are in line with Gods plan for you.  Use the bible to see if your ideas align with God’s.  Be willing to listen to and change your thoughts and plans if you find that they do not align with Gods.  In what areas of your life are you still making your decisions without inviting God into the decision-making process?

What areas of your life have you kept from God?  Could be your finances, your health, your relationships, your children, or your job.  Maybe it is because you like things the way they are, or you really don’t want them to change, or you feel the situation is such a mess that you’ll just deal with it.

Today God wants to start turning around our bad habits of not trusting and acknowledging him.  You decide.
